Welcome to Jahari Christian Academy

Vision

Our vision for this school is to fulfil God’s calling on our lives to reach out to the “Fatherless”.  It is our desire to create a loving, controlled environment to unlock every student’s full potential.  Through daily personal attention, and the use of the ACE school system, the children will develop in character, academic competency, sport, and self-discipline.

Mission

Our mission is to assist Parents in the nurturing of their children, using individualised, biblically based quality curriculum materials, training, and biblical instruction from Grade R to Grade 12 to empower and inspire young men and women to achieve their highest potential through academic excellence and Godly character.

Who we are

We recognize the significance of teaching children the truth of God’s word because children are God’s greatest creation and are created in His image and are special in His eyes. (Gen. 1:27)  All children deserve opportunities to learn and grow in the Lord. (Ps. 139:14).  No child is exempt from God’s purpose and plan and all should be encouraged to know and trust in Him, worship Him, and serve Him.

Our Curriculum

ACCEPTED BY ALMOST ALL TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS
Education worldwide, including South Africa, started in its earliest form as an outflow of the Church. Every private school in this country had its roots and foundations laid as a Church or denominational school. All these schools had a distinct Christian character. Over the years, Godly, spiritual character and values were pushed into the background, and replaced either by diminishing or excluding God, and exulting man’s humanistic values. Wisdom and knowledge start with God, and it does not end in this life, but has an impact on eternity.
Martin Luther, the Reformer, made the following statement: “I am much afraid that schools will prove to be the great gates of hell, unless they diligently labour in explaining the Holy Scriptures, engraving them in the hearts of the youth. I advise no one to place his child where the Scriptures do not reign paramount. Every institution, in which men are not unceasingly occupied with the word of God, must become corrupt”.

Involvement in sport is a very important part of a child’s development that is often neglected.  The Academy is associated with the South African Christian Schools Sports Association (SACSSA), which is a vibrant organisation catering for Christian schools and home schools in the area of sport and coordinates our annual sporting calendar.
All Learners are motivated to participate in a sport during each term.  An external sports academy, Mark Nair Sports Academy, conducts physical training on Fridays, as well as to coach the children in the sport of their choice.A schedule of all sporting activities, including tournaments and practices, will be sent out within the first week of a term.  Please keep this schedule in a visible place at home.  In addition to this, all Learners will be given an opportunity to participate in a sport.  Sporting activities in which Learners are encouraged to compete are: swimming, soccer, netball, volleyball, athletics, tennis, chess, mini cricket and table tennis.

Dreaming

The main emphasis at Jahari Christian Academy is to motivate the Learners to achieve their highest potential in both the spiritual and academic fields.  In order to accomplish this, a number of incentive programmes are implemented and serve as motivational factors for the Learner.

Feel fre to download a brief description of each below.
